Bernice Stull (1920-2008)
Bernice Walker Stull, 88, of Russell died Friday at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell. She was born Aug. 21, 1920, in New Boston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clark and Grace McCoy Walker. She was the wife of the late Theodore Stull, who died in January, 2006. She was a homemaker and was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a renowned artist of this area and the founding member of the Ashland Creative Arts Club. She was the winner of the Appalachian artist of the year through Ashland Community College.
Survivors include one son, Ottis Stull of Russell; one daughter, Esther Mondaine (David) Hager of Russell; one sister, June O'Conner of Flatwoods; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at noon Monday at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland with Chaplain Johnny Riley officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
