CATLETTSBURG é�a�" Betty Jo Robinette Holbrook, 86, of Catlettsburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 28, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Catlettsburg, a daughter of the late Ernest and Lillian Robinette.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Holbrook; two brothers, Ernest Robinette Jr. and Edward Robinette; and a sister, Gloria Spurlock.
Betty was a retired cook at Elmwood Village Nursing Home and a former waitress at the Chimney Corner Restaurant.
Survivors include a son, Gary Holbrook and wife Margaret of Catlettsburg; three daughters, Carloyn Bowling and husband Gary of Catlettsburg, Mary Ann Whetsel of Catlettsburg and Brenda Wheeler and husband Burford of Ashland; five grandchildren, Jennifer Holbrook, Christy Kelly and husband Jack, Sandra Hayes and husband Paul, Todd Brownson and Brad Wheeler; six great-grandchildren, Dylan and Sydney Horton, Seth and Casey Kelly and Payton and Rachael Hayes; and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today, July 2, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland by Pastor Tom Keelin.
Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
