ASHLAND - Betty Jo Church Jobe, 55, of Ashland, passed from this life on Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Norton Hospital in Louisville, with her loving family at her side.
Mrs. Jobe was born Dec. 14, 1957, in Ashland, daughter of Mary Miller Church of Wurtland, and the late Clifford Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Carl E. Jobe, in 2012.
Betty graduated from Catlettsburg High School and worked many places over the years including Giovanni's, Caudill's Market, Cintas and Jobe's Body Shop. She loved to fellowship with her family, camping, cooking, bingo, crocheting and the loves of her life, her grandbabies.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her mother, Mary Church; sons, Robert Jobe and his wife, Robin, Nathan Jobe and his wife, Jessica, Matthew Jobe ad his wife, Krystal, and Chad Jobe and his wife, Michele, all of Ashland; grandchildren, Macie, Desirae, Jada, Tristian, Ethan, Evan, Elliot, Isabele, Lusha, Dustin and Henry; brothers, Tom Church (Amy) of Bellefonte, Richard Church (Julie) and Ryan Church, both of Wurtland; sisters, Julia Shaffer (John) of Wurtland and Shelia Wells (Rick) of Ashland; father-in-law, Denver Jobe of Ashland; brother-in-law, Clarence Jobe (Kathy) of Ashland; and numerous special nieces and nephews,
Preceding her in death are her father; her husband; sister, Lilly Akers; a nephew, Roger Akers; mother-in-law, Helen Jobe; and brother-in-law, Denver Jobe Jr.
The funeral service for Mrs. Jobe will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. Pastor Ron Fultz will officiate. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
