ASHLAND - Bill "BB" Burton Wallin, 85, of Ashland, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Trinity Station in Flatwoods.
He was born July 27, 1927, in Catlettsburg, the son of the late Coy and Nettie Robinette Wallin.
He was a retired deckhand and riverboat pilot with the Ohio River Company, a member of the Beech Street Christian Church, a Korean War Army veteran and former member of the Kenova American Legion Post 93.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Lorraine" Wallin; three brothers, Herschell Wallin, Don Wallin and Eugene Wallin; and one sister, Veletta Wallin.
Survivors include one son, Tim Wallin and his wife, Tammy, of Ashland; six grandchildren, Dean Wallin and his wife, Mandy, Kyle Wallin, Jordan Wallin, Rhiannon Wallin, Alyssa Sparks and Billy Cline; two great-grandchildren, Ellie Wallin and Elijah Lowe.
The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by Chaplin Jimm Smedley. Burial will be in the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens with military graveside services conducted by the Kenova American Legion Post 93.
