Clyde Patrick Short, 47, of Catlettsburg, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 1, 2011, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland following an extended illness.
Pat was born April 24, 1963, in Ashland, a son of Thurman Short of Catlettsburg and the late Joyce Barrett Short.
He was retired from the maintenance department of the Boyd County School District.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are two brothers, Daryl Lee Short and wife Jeronda and William Short and wife Carol of Catlettsburg; a sister, Betty Burns and husband Ronald of Catlettsburg; and nieces and nephews Daryl Lee Short Jr. (Cassie), Josh Short, Crastin Short, Arthur Burns, Veronica Burns, Marshall Short, Dennee Sizemore (Trey) and Derek Whitt.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. Alfred Moore Jr. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Feb. 3, 2011, at the funeral home.
