ASHLAND - Donna Baer Griffith, 75, of Ashland, went to Heaven to join her husband Thursday evening, July 4, 2013, in Woodland Oaks Nursing Facility.
Mrs. Griffith was born Jan. 3, 1938, in Catlettsburg, a daughter of the late Don and Elsie Brown Baer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Griffith Sr.; and siblings, Jack and Janet Baer.
Donna was a 1957 graduate of Thomas R. Brown High School, a homemaker who loved taking care of her family and a member of Meade Station Church of God.
Surviving are her son, Joe M. Griffith II and his wife, Christi, of Rush; granddaughter, Jessica L. Griffith (Jonathan Ferguson); grandson, Kevin Griffith (Jessica Rakes); two sisters, Phyllis Baer of Catlettsburg and Sylvia Watts of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mrs. Griffith will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. The Rev. Rob Jordan will officiate. Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
