Doris M. Dickison Garris, age 74, of Raceland, Ky., died Feb. 25, 2010 in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
She was born Aug. 20, 1935, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of the late Ben and Emma Jackson Dickison.
She was a self-employed caregiver and attended South Point Church of God.
Surviving are a son, Curtis (Chris) Thompson of Raceland; daughters, Teresa (David) Darnell of Madisonville, Ky., and Robin Bishop of Worthington, Ky.; sister, Lucy McNurlin of Westwood, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) McCutcheon, Samantha Wynebarger, Christi (Michael) Arthur, David Thompson, Emilee Bishop, Blake Bishop and Steven Collins; and three great-grandchildren, Caitlynn and Austin McCutcheon and Serena Arthur.
The funeral will be at noon Monday, March 1 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods by Brother Paul McNurlin. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 at the funeral home.
