Evelyn Skeans

Evelyn Porter Skeans, 86, of Madisonville, Texas, formerly of Rush, KY, slipped the surely bonds of Earth and touched the face of Godon January 15, 2013, in Madisonville Care Center.
She was born April 8, 1926, in Little Fork, Carter County to the late Commodore & Rosa Frances Porter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan Skeans, as well as a son, Charles rogers, a brother Lindsey Porter, and sisters Florence Shouse & Gladys Porter Pennington.
She is survived by daughters Cora Frances & Ken Johnson, Mary & Fred Akers, Rebecca Literal, Charlotte O'Donnell, and a son, Gregory Skeans.
She is additionally survived by her sisters Ruby Caudill & Grace Blake, and a brother James Porter, as well as her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was a very kind and loving person who loved her God and family with all her heart.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland, KY, with the burial to follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, KY.
