Gladys Miller (1917-2008)
Gladys Marie Price Miller, 90, of Westwood, went to be with the Lord following a brief illness on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center.
Gladys was born Dec. 22, 1917, in Westwood, to the late Foster and Laura Rice Price. She was a devout Christian and a member of Fairview Baptist Church for 72 years. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star 569, Westwood Chapter. Gladys will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paul Miller, and two brothers, Russell and Herman Price.
She is survived by two daughters, Amilee Miller of Westwood and Rita Crabtree of Minneapolis, Minn.; a son, Robert (Joy) Miller of Hinesville, Ga.; a brother, Robert "Gay" (Kathleen) Price of Westwood; two sisters, Leona Carter and Amy Price, both of Ashland; three grandchildren, Sunny Brown of Minneapolis, Bobby (Brenda) Miller and Christopher Miller of Hinesville; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Mike Rice and the Rev. Tim Holmes.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood.
