Harkless Raymond "Junior" Estep - 1937-2008
Harkless Raymond "Junior" Estep, 70, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Ashland, Ky., the son of the late Harkless Raymond Sr. and Zetta Lucille Goldie Estep.
He was retired from the Bricklayers Local 7 with 50 years of service and was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene, where he was the former Sunday school superintendent and a board member.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Manuel F. Estep and David Eugene Estep.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Louonna Pope Estep; two daughters, Tara Lynn (Andy) Allen of Lexington, Ky., and Rebecca Ann (Jeff) Case of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, the Rev. Morton L. (Carolyn) Estep of St. Augustine, Fla., and the Rev. Michael R. (Ginger) Estep of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a sister, Kathy (Steve) Givens of Ashland; and two granddaughters, Katie Case and Hannah Case.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. Richard Suman. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Church of the Nazarene, 2413 29th St., Ashland, KY 41101.
