Harry C. Bloss, 76, of Ashland, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 in King's Daughters Medical Center.
Mr. Bloss was born Oct. 31, 1935, in Cabell County, W.Va., son of the late Lakin and Fannie Burns Bloss. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and was an operator for Novamont Chemical Co. in Kenova, W.Va. Harry attended Gospel Light Baptist Church and enjoyed working with the bus ministry. He loved hunting and fishing.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Mildred "Midge" Cyrus Bloss; children, Greg A. Bloss (Teresa), Gerald A. Bloss (Michelle) and Tony W. Crisp (Renaulda); four grandchildren, Emily, Clayton, Christopher and Robin; and one great-granddaughter, Gracie.
Funeral services honoring Mr. Bloss will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Pastor Jason Porter and Brother Paul Finley will officiate. Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
