Ida "Sissy" Stewart Patrick, 82, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland.

Sissy was born Feb. 11, 1928, to Fred Albert and Ona Francis Stewart.

Sissy was employed by Selby's Shoes and Wilson Sporting Goods but spent most of her life as a self-employed seamstress and homemaker.

Sissy was a longtime member and past president of BPOE No. 350 Ladies Elks Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, Sissy was preceded in death by her sons, Daryle Edward Patrick and Richard Lee Patrick; brothers Roy Stewart and Fred Stewart; and sister Betty Scott.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Edward "Dick" Patrick of Ashland; daughters-in-law Jacqueline Patrick and Jenny Patrick of Ashland; grandchildren Tiffani (Ben) Johnson, Steve (Stacy) Patrick and Richard (Tracey) Patrick; great-grandchildren Dylan Patrick, Camryn Patrick, Riley Johnson, Sophia Johnson, Alyria Patrick and Taylor Donahoe; and sisters Peggy Heaberlin and Audrey Ray.

Funeral services for Sissy will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Rodney Adkins, minister. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 26, 2011, at the funeral home.

The family wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to the staff of Woodland Oaks and Hospice for excellent care given to Sissy for the past 41a��2 years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in remembrance of Sissy be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KYa��41101.

Pallbearers will be Steve Patrick, Richard Patrick, Dylan Patrick, Greg Ray, Bill Grace and Earl Grace.
