Jackie Lee Colliver, 85, of Ashland, rests with her personal Lord and Savior following her passing Thursday afternoon, May 27, 2010, in Community Hospice Care Center. She was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Catlettsburg, Ky., daughter of the late Walter Salyers and late mother and stepfather, Mae Robinson Salyers Copley and Lawrence Copley. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lawrence A. Colliver. She was a member of Second Freewill Baptist Church of Ashland and a dedicated homemaker.
Surviving are two loving daughters, Stephanie Dawn Boggs of Grove City, Ohio, and Melody Lee Willis and husband Steve of Ashland; two precious grandchildren, Jason Boggs (Brandy) and Lindsey Boggs Morrison (Jacob); two brothers, James Salyers (Wanona) and Ray Salyers (Melinda), both of Ashland; two sisters, Lila Wiley (Chester) of Catlettsburg and Clara Mae Greene of Ashland; and a sister-in-law, Edwina Colliver of Ashland.
A service to honor the life of Jackie Colliver will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. Pastor Jason Boggs will deliver a heartfelt message while Pastor Randy Skaggs gives a eulogy. Final rest will follow a committal service in Golden Oaks Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
