James Erwin

James Lewis Erwin 70 of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, September 06, 2017 at King's Daughters Medical Center.

James was born June 07, 1947 in Lewis County, Kentucky to the late Walter and Dolly Fultz Erwin.

James proudly served is country as a member of the US Air Force. He retired as a heavy equipment mechanic at Wayne Supply. He was a faithful member of 13th Street Free Will Baptist Church, a member of Rush Lodge #715 F&AM and a Kentucky colonel.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by three brothers Clayton Erwin, Billie Joe Erwin and Paul Erwin; and two sisters Louise Baber and Emogene Bradley.

He leaves behind two sisters Delma Haggard of Morehead and Jewell Beaudry of Hilliard, Ohio; two brothers Karl Erwin of Dayton, Ohio and Albert Erwin of Blanchester, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood with the Rev Chuck Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday 11:30-1:00. Masonic services will be conducted at 12:45 by officers and members of Rush Masonic Lodge #715 F&AM.
