JOHNDA L. CLAY BARKER, 52, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away from a sudden illness Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Rev. Dale Waters. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens, Ashland, Ky. She was born April 25, 1959, in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late Billie "Red" Clay and Genie Webb Clay of Ashland, Ky. She was a 1977 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and was an avid sports fan. Johnda worked as a supervisor for 12 years at Glenn's Sporting Goods and was currently working at the Cabell County circuit clerk's office as a deputy clerk. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ron Barker; one daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Josh Turley of Huntington, W.Va.; two sons, Charles Christopher Barker of Lexington, Ky., and James Ronald Barker of Huntington; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Duane Pennington of Lexington, Ky., Jennie and Eddie Whitt of Ashland, Ky., and Rebecca Clay of Ashland, Ky.; two brothers and sister-in-law, Robert and Rita Clay of Columbus, Neb., and Bruce Clay of Catlettsburg, Ky.; a grandson, Miles Turley, who is due in May; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. The family requests that blood be donated to the American Red Cross in Johnda's name.
