Juanita Porter

Juanita F. Porter, 85, of Ashland, Ky. went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 14, 2010. The Lord picked our most beautiful rose for his garden in Heaven from King's Daughters Medical Center. She was born March 4, 1925, in South Point, Ohio, to the late William Henry Dyer and Myrtle Inez Blair Dyer. Her husband, Poctor B. Porter Sr., survives. She was a homemaker and attended Rose Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Randell Johnson, Matthew Porter and Rebecca Porter; and two brothers, Einford Dyer and Eugene Dyer.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by six sons, Harold Porter of Ashland, Ky., Roger Porter of Missouri, Winford Porter of Ashland, Ky., Keith Porter of Ashland, Ky., Bill Porter Jr. of Cannonsburg, Ky. and David Porter of Catlettsburg, Ky.; two daughters, Sandra Coon of Catlettsburg, Ky. and Anita Litteral of Ashland, Ky.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Lazear Funeral Home by the Rev. Leroy Dixon. Interment will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today, May 17, 2010, at the funeral home.
