Judith Church (1946 - 2009)
Judith Marie Williamson Church of Ashland passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at her home on Roberts Drive.
Mrs. Church was born May 29, 1946, in Kenova, W.Va., a daughter of Eva Guenther Gibson of Catlettsburg and the late Harkless Williamson Sr. Her husband of 36 years, Jackie David Church Sr., preceded her in 1998.
Judy attended Thomas R. Brown High School, New Life Church and Catlettsburg Church of God. She enjoyed reading and bird watching.
Judy leaves behind her loving family, including two sons, Jackie D. (Leasa) Church Jr., and Michael A. Church, all of Ashland; a daughter, Tammy Lynn (Randy) Eldredge of Apache Trail, Ariz.; three brothers, Joseph Russell Gibson, Joel David Gibson and Paul Timothy Gibson, all of Catlettsburg; five sisters, Jean (Larry) Johnson and Debbie (Willard) Thompson, all of Catlettsburg, Robin Pennington of Ashland, Teresa (Rick) Ewing of Lima, Ohio, and Kelli (Doug) DeBoard of Catlettsburg; a stepbrother, Hark Williamson Jr. of Chesapeake, Ohio; two stepsisters, Taffey (Danny) Hall of Catlettsburg and Jackie (Paul) Crum of Greenup; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Jonene Harris; her stepfather, John A. Gibson; and a granddaughter, Chloe Ann Eldredge.
A service of remembrance will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. Pastor Dwight Barker will bring the message and Reuben DeBoard will do the eulogy.
Final rest will follow a committal at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, Ky.
Those wishing to call on the Church family may do so between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
