CATLETTSBURG - Kathleen Wooten, 88, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at her home.
She was born Oct. 13, 1924, in Catlettsburg, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Lily Myrtle Bluebaum.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wooten; a son-in-law, David Kress; and brothers Howard Bluebaum, Delbert Bluebaum and Henry Bluebaum.
Mrs. Wooten was a native and life-long resident of Catlettsburg until 2010, when she moved to Murfreesboro to live with her daughter. She worked at Ashland Craft Dress Factory and the King's Daughters and Sons Home. She attended Unity Freewill Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Wooten Kress of Murfreesboro; grandchildren Eric Matthew (Rebecca) Kress of Ashland and Chad Kress of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren Erica Michelle Kress, Mary Elizabeth Kress, Chase Dylan Kress and Addyson Rylee Kress; and a sister, Edna Maxine Toney of Russell.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg by Brother David Humphries. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
