Kelly Burns (1976-2009)
Kelly Ann Helms Burns of Catlettsburg, Ky., went home to be with the Lord following an auto accident near her home Friday morning. Feb. 6, 2009.
Kelly was just 32 years of age, born March 30, 1976, in Ashland. She was a graduate of Boyd County High School with the class of 1995, where she was active in cheerleading and athletics. She attended Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Rush, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior.
Kelly's gift of caregiving exhibited itself through great acts of kindness and compassion. She was a highly valued employee of Cabell Huntington Home Health, where her talents endeared her to patients and co-workers alike.
Sadly, Kelly leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Victoria "Tori" Paige Burns and Hannah Nicole Burns; a loving father and mother, Bernard "Bernie" and Cindy Caldwell Helms; her loyal sister, Misty Dawn Helms; a niece, Haley Payton Haney, all of Catlettsburg; her grandmother, Mrs. Robert Helms of Ashland; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Kelly will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
A funeral service in remembrance of Kelly Burns will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. Officiating will be her pastor, Keith Crum, with a personal eulogy by Pastor Woody Hill. Final rest to will follow a committal service at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Those wishing to call on the family may do so between 6 and 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
