Lona H. Collinsworth (1918-2009)
Lona H. Collinsworth, 91, of Ashland, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Magoffin County, Ky., the daughter of the late Malcolm and Etta Jackson Sturgill.
She was a homemaker and a member of Solid Rock Ministries.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Collinsworth; two sons, Rex Hall and Billy Ray Hall; four brothers, Hershell Sturgill, Dona Sturgill, Joe Sturgill and Cletis Sturgill; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Dixie Nelson of Ashland; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at noon Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland with Pastor Tony Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
