Mary Jo Cook, 84, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, in Jo-Lin Health Care Center in Ironton, Ohio. She was born Feb. 14, 1926, in Ashland, Ky., the daughter of the late Emmitt and Pricie Ball Murad. She was a former nursing assistant at King's Daughters Medical Center and an employee of the Sylvania Plant in Huntington, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Harve Burton and Fred Cook.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Jane Brown of Louisville, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews, including Margie Thacker and Patti Queen of Ashland, Ky.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today, Dec. 29, 2010, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens by minister Jim Williams. There will be no visitation.
Miller Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
