Mary L. Hall, 75, of Greenup, Ky., entered eternal rest Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, Ky. She was born Jan. 26, 1935, in Greenup, Ky., to the late Ernest Johnson and Anna Johnson Stephenson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Hall; stepfather, Luke Stephenson; sister, Freda McClanahan; stepsister, Louise Hall; and two stepbrothers, Clifford Stephenson and Shelly Stephenson.
She is survived by a brother, Thomas Johnson of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; a sister, Wanda Faye Imel of Greenup, Ky.; a stepsister, Margaret Smith of Finksburg, Md.; six nephews, Greg Johnson, Phillip Imel, Kenny Imel, Roy Imel, Kelsey McClanahan and Brant McClanahan; 17 great-nieces and nephews; and five great-great-nieces.
She was known by her family and friends as Poodie. She and her husband John were the owners of Halls Wagon Wheel Restaurant on 17th Street and Greenup Avenue in Ashland, ky. She loved bird watching, working in her yard and enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Virgie Damron, and her friends at the Greenup Senior Citizens. She was of the Christian faith.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by Pastor Dan Brown. Final resting place will be at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
