Peggy Ann Barber Holbrook, 77, of Westwood, Ky. went to be with her precious Lord and Savior Friday, April 30, 2010, at King's Daughters Medical Center following a long illness. She was born Nov. 5, 1932, in Westwood to the late John Taylor Barber and Nettie Douglas Barber.
Peggy was a homemaker, loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She worked for several years in the physical and respiratory therapy departments at KDMC and was a member of the Westwood Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Naomi (John) Haney, Delsie (George) Menshouse, Thelma Ruth "Tootie" (Lawrence) Fain and Wilma (Bob) Burkhart Broce; and a brother, Delbert (Lil) Barber.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles Robert "Bob" Holbrook of Westwood; two sets of twins, Paula Ann Caudill of Ashland, Ky. and Robert Keith (Margie) Holbrook of Catlettsburg, Ky. and Don (Diane) and Ron Holbrook, both of Ashland, Ky.; and her youngest son, Jerry Dean (Nita) Holbrook of Raceland, Ky. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
