Phyllis Ross, 80, of Ashland, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility.
She was born June 21, 1931, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Bethany Fannin Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Scott, Juanita Shanks, Ethel Ross and Edith Ross.
Phyllis was of the Baptist faith, a graduate of Ashland Beauty College and owned and operated Phyllis' Beauty Shop for more than 40 years.
Survivors include a niece whom she reared, Jaynie Wright and her husband, William, of Ashland; great-nephews whom she adored, William J. Wright Jr., Dean Wright and Brad Wright; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Sierra Wright, Joey Wright, Patrick Wright, Ian Wright and Cody Wright; and special friends Jazz Wright, Betty Cooksey Irwin and Thora Cooksey.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
