Rebecca Thompson (1929-2010)
Rebecca Thompson, 80, of Kenton, Ohio, formerly of Ashland, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at Hardin Hill Nursing Home in Kenton.
Mrs. Thompson was born Dec. 17, 1929, in Johnson County, daughter of the late Dennie and Nola Daniels Wheeler. She was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith and attended Oakland Avenue Baptist Church. Rebecca enjoyed sewing and crafts.
Surviving is one sister, Alice Mildred Wheeler of Kenton; two special nieces, Claudia Daniels of Ashland and Deborah Thompson of Forest, Ohio.
Also preceding in death is Becky's husband, James R. Thompson Jr., and a brother Dennie Wheeler Jr.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Pastor Mike Blankenship will offer comforting words to family and friends. Final rest in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for family and friends will be from noon Sunday until the service time.
