Romilda Williams, 87, of Ashland, died July 12, 2012, in Woodland Oaks in Ashland.
She was born March 19, 1925, in Middletown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles G. and Anna Elizabeth Johnson Bishop.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin E. Williams Jr. in 2005; a brother, Charles G. Bishop Jr., formerly of Middletown, Ohio; and sisters, Norma Moon and Marilyn Sebastian, both of Middletown, Ohio.
She worked in clerical at Armco Steel Co., Parson's Department Store, Polan's and Pollock's Jewelers and Breezeland Swim Club. She was a graduate of Middletown High School class of 1943, a member of Normal Presbyterian Church and Roadrunners and past member of Eastern Star.
Surviving are one son, Chris Williams of Ashland; one daughter, Janna W. Smith of Westmont, Ill.; two granddaughters, Sarah R. Smith of Westmont, Ill., and Missy Williams of Ashland; and four great-grandchildren, Alana Madison Morano and Susannah Elizabeth Morano, both of Westmont, Ill., and Austin Richard Haywood and Nathaniel Hunter Haywood, both of Ashland.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Brian Steele. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
