Ruth Ann Runyon (1938-2008)
Ruth Ann Carter Runyon, 68, of Catlettsburg, stood in the presence of her Savior following her passing Wednesday evening, Dec. 10, 2008, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Run-yon was the only daughter to Dixie Berry Carter of Catlettsburg and the late Raymond Carter. Ruth Ann blessed their home on Dec. 28, 1939, in Lawrence County, Ky. She was a dedicated mother, wife and grandmother, selflessly giving of herself, a trusted confidant to many and a devoted member of Oakland Avenue Baptist Church.
Sadly left behind is a loving family, including her husband of more than 50 cherished years, Carl Run-yon; two sons whom she adored, Mark Runyon and his wife, Tammy, of Middletown, Ohio, and Lt. Col. Todd Runyon and his wife, Tracy, of Clifton, Va.; and four beautiful grandchildren, Courtney Rae, 15, Allyson Nicole, 12, Skyler, 5, and Jacob, 3.
A funeral service in memory of Ruth Ann will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. Words of comfort will be offered by Brother Paul Badgett. Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Those wishing to call on the Runyon family may do so between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
