Sean Settles

Heaven gained a new little angel as Sean Mavrik Settles entered this world into a loving family only to have been immediately given his wings on May 25, 2012.

He was the son of Danielle Renee Laney and Sean Paul Settles of Ashland.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Mike and Lisa Laney of Catlettsburg; his great-grandmother, Phyllis Laney of Catlettsburg; his great-grandparents, Bill and Gladys Caskey of Winchester; his half sisters, Samantha and Morgan Settles of Ashland; his uncles, Josh and Isaac Laney of Catlettsburg; a cousin, Emily Pinkerman; and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Daniel Laney, whom is now holding him in his arms in heaven. Although we never met Mavrik, he was dearly loved and will forever be in our hearts.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, May 30, 2012, at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland. The Rev. Frank Hulett will officiate.

Visitation will be after noon today at the funeral home.
