Sue Ellen Cornette Groves, 39, of Catlettsburg passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
Mrs. Groves was born Sept. 26, 1972, in Ashland, the daughter of the late Betty Newland Cornette and Danny Burke Cornette of Catlettsburg. Sue was a 1990 graduate of Boyd County High School and a former employee for Cintas. She enjoyed photo restoration, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Groves; sons, Adam Groves and T.J. Groves of Catlettsburg; daughters, Tosha Groves of Catlettsburg and Shanna McKenzie of Chesapeake, Ohio; brother, Danny Cornette of Catlettsburg; sisters, Brenda Alexander and Debra Wheeler, both of Ashland, Dawn Justice of Fort Worth, Texas and Hazel Cornette of Catlettsburg.
Funeral services for Mrs. Groves will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at the Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. Brother Fred Chaffin will officiate. Final rest in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
