Wilda Frazier

Wilda Frazier, 97, of Rush, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, in Community Hospice Care Center.

Mrs. Frazier was born May 5, 1913, in Glenwood, Ky., a daughter of the late William Dennis "Dennie" and Laura Murphy Coffey. Wilda was a cook and waitress at the Trail Drive-In Theater for many years and loved quilting and working in her yard and garden. She was a member of East Fork United Methodist Church and a former member of United Methodist Women.

Surviving are a son, Gene Frazier (Joan) of Rush, Ky.; three daughters, Sue Fryer (Robert Sr.) of Hamilton, Ohio, Sally Prichard (Millard Gene, deceased) of Rush, Ky., and Laura "Liz" Smith (Berry Lee, deceased) of Prosperity, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Millard A. "Buddy" Prichard (Margaret) of Rush, Ky., Gwen Perry of Rush, Ky., Carolyn Woods of Hamilton, Ohio, Robert "Bobby" Fryer Jr. (Tammy) of Hamilton, Ohio, Shawncee Sapp (Claud) of Columbia, S.C., Charles "Buck" Smith (Noelle) of Lexington, S.C., and Mike Frazier (Beth) of Ashland, Ky.; seven great-grandchildren, William Perry, Brett Fryer, Tayler and Karson Prichard and Ava Sapp; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Patrick and Haylee Livingston; a brother, William "Bill" Henry Brown (Patty) of Rush, Ky.; and sisters Mary Louise Hicks (Harold) of Ashland, Ky., Georgia Irene McCalvin (Mitchel) of Ashland, Ky., Garnett Catherine Cooksey (Frank) of Flatwoods, Ky., Burnette Loraine Mays (Jeff) of Columbus, Ohio, and Lillie Jean Bowling (Ronald) of Circleville, Ohio.

Wilda was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Arthur Frazier; a son, William Jay Frazier; brothers William Cecil Coffey, Walden Rothlyn Coffey, Henry Edford Coffey and Chester Arthur Coffey; and sisters Elba Evelyn Ward and Belva Mae Fannin.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 28, 2010, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Pastor Richie Gindlesperger will bring a message of comfort. Final rest will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
