Wilma Sparks

Wilma Hurley Sparks, 88 of Ashland passed away Saturday September 16, 2017 at Hospice Care Center. She was born April 21, 1929 in Ashland the daughter of the late Roy and Verna Osborn Hurley. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Paul Sparks. She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Pemberton (Joe) of Chesapeake, OH and Debra Daniels of Ashland; two sons, Tim Sparks (Tina) of Russell, KY and Danny Sparks (Debbie) of Morehead, KY; one sister, Juanita McGlothin of Ashland; five grandchildren, Adam Daniels (Jill), Christopher Sparks, Joshua Pemberton (Amy), Daniel Pemberton (Amber) and Jessica Sparks; and four great grandchildren, Noah Daniels, Liam Pemberton, Mercy Pemberton and Cross Pemberton. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday September 19, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Rice Officiating. Burial will follow in Golden oaks Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
