Wilmeta "Babe" Roach Lewis - 1951-2009
Wilmeta "Babe" Roach Lewis, 57, of Westwood, died Sunday morning at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland following an extended illness. She was born March 25, 1951, in Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late William and Captola Roach. She was the wife of Jack Lewis, who survives. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and a T&L Department retiree from AK Steel.
Preceding her in death include a brother, Billy Roach.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one son, Chuck Roach and wife Lisa of Westwood; one brother, Charles Roach of Frankfort; a very special friend, Linda Stakely of Ashland; three grandchildren, Amber Roach (Chris Johnson), Morgan Roach and Ashton Roach; and one great-granddaughter, Taylor Johnson.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland by Bro. Jim Smedley. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
